Hillel Prep were the overall champion team at the
YMCA/Burger King Swim Meet
on Friday. They scored 395 points, followed by Stella Maris (301) and Sts Peter and Paul (250.5).
The top girls' section was won by Stella Maris (190 points) from Mona and Sts Peter and Paul.
Hillel (276) took the boys' section, followed by Sts Peter and Paul and Stella Maris.
The top primary school was Excelsior Primary with 50.0 points....results

The
training groups for the National Swimming Squad
(local swimmers) based on the test sets
are now prepared. The
training schedule
to the end of June indicate that the first sessions will be held
this Wednesday, May 12
at the Stadium pool.

start at 9:00am to facilitate

OPEN!! A
revised fee
structure, ranging from
$100 to $200 per entry
is published by Pool
Management. Please note
that the diving well is
not available at this
time, and all users
should avoid that area.
Clubs are reminded to
submit lane requirements
by Friday (4/23) so that
the usage can be
scheduled.

The national stadium
pool will re-open to
the public on Monday
April 19th. Entry fee
for use of the pool
facility is $100 per
person per entry for
persons swimming with
coaches, and $150 per
person per entry for
recreational swimming.

Mayberry Investments
Schools Swim Meet.
They finished with 475.5
points, just ahead of
Hillel with 456 and St
Peter & Paul at 270. The
top girls team was

boys team Hillel (294)
and top primary school

new girls high school
champions in the
Mayberry Investments
Schools Swim Meet,
having earned 467.5
point. They are followed
by St Andrew with 403.5
and Holy Childhood on
134. Wolmers' Boys
School successfully
defended the
championship trophy for
high school boys,
gaining 559 points, from
Campion College on 392
and Kingston College
with 266. University of
Technology won the

Synchronized Swimming
Development Meet on
Saturday, March
6 at Bournemouth Bath.
It also served for the
selection of Jamaica's
team to CARIFTA XXV.
Both local synchronized
swimming teams

team for CARIFTA XXV.
The team includes eleven
overseas based athletes.
All local members should
attend the first
training session,
scheduled for Thursday,
March 11th at 5:00am at

scheduled for March
20 will take place at
Bournemouth Bath. All
swimmers 18 years and

Three members of the
national squad (Steven
Moodie, Alexia Royal-Eatmon,
Dominic Walter) left the
island yesterday for a
training camp in
Florida, in an attempt
to qualify for the 2010
Youth Olympics. They
will be joined later in
the week by other

It is our hope that 2010
will be seen as a
turning point for the
Aquatic Sports. If this
is to happen we must
work:
1. to change the
structure of the ASAJ so
as to encourage
increased participation,
particularly in parishes
outside Kingston;
2. to make each
Technical Committee a
robust and effective
development tool;
3. to secure additional
sources of funding for
local competitions and
National Teams;
4. to continue the rapid
expansion of SwimJamaica;
5. with the Government
and other organizations
to secure funding for
new aquatic facilities;
6. to ensure that the
new G.C. Foster Aquatics
Programme flourishes;
7. to ensure that
CARIFTA is a success, in
all respects.

achieve these and other
