The Members of the ASAJ
Council wishes for
everyone in the Jamaican
Aquatics Community a
happy and prosperous
2010. The year will no
doubt be challenging,
but we are confident
that with everyone
playing a role, we can
together, make the ASAJ
a better organization.
It is our hope that 2010
will be seen as a
turning point for the
Aquatic Sports. If this
is to happen we must
work:
1. to change the
structure of the ASAJ so
as to encourage
increased participation,
particularly in parishes
outside Kingston;
2. to make each
Technical Committee a
robust and effective
development tool;
3. to secure additional
sources of funding for
local competitions and
National Teams;
4. to continue the rapid
expansion of SwimJamaica;
5. with the Government
and other organizations
to secure funding for
new aquatic facilities;
6. to ensure that the
new G.C. Foster Aquatics
Programme flourishes;
7. to ensure that
CARIFTA is a success, in
all respects.
We look forward to
working with you to
achieve these and other
goals and pray that 2010
be a good one for you
and your family.
