SWIM JUDGES CLINIC TO
BE HELD JANAURY 13, 2007
January 8th, 2007
Thank you for volunteering to be a swimming judge. Every role you
play, no matter how small, is critical to the sport and the development of our
children and young athletes. We appreciate your time and effort.
The first of a series of three clinics will be held at the Air Wing
Audio Visual Room (Up Park Camp) on January 13, 2007 (2:00 - 4:00 PM). Please
be on-time! All three clinics are important if you want to develop a good all
round knowledge. The attached agenda describes what we will cover in this
clinic. Clinic 2 will deal with the description and application of the stroke
rules. Clinic 3 will deal will On Deck Procedures, Starter and Referee issues
as well as a review before CARIFTA.
You will note on the calendar that every clinic has been scheduled
just before a competition - we want you to do the classroom time and then have
the opportunity to practice what you have learnt into practice on-deck (please
volunteer to act as a judge at those meets).
We want the clinic to be very interactive so it would be helpful if
you read the FINA Rules, 1, 2, 3, 11, 12 & 13 before the clinic. You may
also find it helpful to review some of the information contained on our
TECHNICAL OFFICIAL section of www.swimjamaica.com
