ALFORD GREEN STARS AT AB SHORT COURSE CLASSIC

Y-Speedos 10 year old swimming sensation Alford Green swim two (2) AAAA times on the first day of the AB Short Course Swim Classis being held at the National Stadium Pool in Kingston. Green swam 2:48.41 in the 9-10 Male 200 M Individual Medley to touch first ahead of his teammate Ramon Walton who swam 3:02.45. He returned to dominate the 200 M Freestyle with another spectacular time of 2:23.48 again pushing Walton into second place (2:45.28).

 

Swimming for the Tornadoes Swim Club, Gillian Stewart finished the girls 9-10 200 M Freestyle a full 20 seconds ahead of Faith Phinn (Tornadoes) swimming a fast AAA time of 2:33.58. Stewart dominated the field in the 200 M Individual Medley swimming another AAA time (2:56.90). 

Todd Johnson (Y-Speedos) won both of his events swimming 2:24.39 in the 13 and Over 200 M Backstroke and 2:06.43 in the 200 M Freestyle. Dominic Lee (Tornadoes) James (Y-Speedos) and Lemone Lowe battled for the top three places in the 200 M Individual Medley. Despite trailing by some 5 metres at the 100 metre mark, Lee used his breaststroke to touch first in 2:22.29 ahead of Smith 2:23.69 (both AAA times) and Lowe just three seconds back (2:26.84).

The competition continues at 8:30 AM Saturday with session three starting at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon.
