Jamaica’s Janelle Atkinson and Angela Chuck have both made the United States College Top 50 rankings published on December 6. Atkinson, who swims for the University of Florida, was the top collegiate swimmer in the 1650 Yard Freestyle with a fast time of 16:05.95, topping American Jessica Foshi (Stanford University) by fifteen seconds (16:21.44). Foshi reversed the rankings in the 500 yard Freestyle with a time of 4:38.95, pushing Atkinson’s time of 4:40.48 into second.

In the 200 yard Freestyle, Atkinson and Angela Chuck (Brown University) have two of the top 50 times to date this season. Atkinson’s time of 1:46.75 ranks her fifth (5^th) while Chuck’s 1:50.08 ranks her forty-ninth (49^th). Cal States Natalie Coughlin has swum 47.76 to lead the rankings.

In the 100 yard Freestyle, Chuck is significantly higher and is ranked twenty seventh (27^th) with a time of 50.41. Like the 200 Free, Natalie Coughlin tops the ranking with a time of 1:43.77.
