IMMACULATE HIGH AND COLLEGE COLLEGE WIN ISSA SWIM CHAMPS

Immaculate High swam away from the competition to win the Girls ISSA School Championship trophy at the National Stadium Pool. In recent years the competition with St. Andrew High has been fierce but Immaculate today dominated to win by 221 points. Immaculate scored 564, St. Andrew High 343 and Campion College 222 to place third. In the Boys Division Campion College scored 496 points to win the Championship trophy over rival St. Goerges College (414) and Ardenne High (128).

Swimming for Kingston College, National Squad Swimmer Brad Hamilton broke three (3) of the eleven (11) records smashed on the day. Hamilton broke the 12 and Under 100 Metre Freestyle (1:04.80), 50 Metre Breastroke (38.61) and 50 Metre Freestyle (29.19) records. Immaculate High established two new records as Audette Lawrence, also a National Squad swimmer, broke the 13-14 100 Meter Freestyle record of 1:08.16 touching in 1:07.20. The Immaculate 13-14 200 Metre Medley Relay team broke the other record winning the event in 2:23.86.
