‘Y’ Speedos retain hold on the Walter Lowi Sprint Meet Trophy

At the recently concluded Walter Lowi Sprint Meet the Y-Speedos Swim Club successfully defended their hold on the trophy after an exciting meet.

This fast moving sprint meet saw some good performances once again by Speedo’s Alford Green and Tornados’ Gillian Stewart in the 9-10 Age Group. Both swimmers won four events each in fine style.

Amongst the Seniors’ it was ‘Y’ Speedos Jason James an Paul Peat who won four events each in the 15 and Over Boys. One of the highlights of the meet was the participation of the ‘Y’ Speedos Masters Swimmers who were making their first appearance in competition.

The final points standing showed the ‘Y’ SPEEDOS winning by 107 points from the Tornadoes. The Marlins Swim Club was third with 162 points.
