The following criteria was used to establish the
proposed ASAJ International Competition Qualifying times:
- CARIFTA
(all age groups):
USS AA Standards.
- CISC
(all age groups):
USS AAA Standards.
- CCCAN
(11-12, 13-14):
USS AAAA Standards.
- CCCAN
(15-17, 18 & Over):
Except for 50m and 100m Freestyle, half way between USS AAA
and AAAA Standards. All qualifying times made finals in the 2001
CCCAN.
- CAC
and Pan Am Games – To be confirmed (ASUA has not yet published
the 2003 qualifying times). On ASAJ spreadsheet, 1999 times have
been used for ASAJ Male qual. Times. As most ASAU times for the
Females were slower that the ASAJ CCCAN Qualifiying times, USS
AAAA Standard or 1999 ASAU Times, which ever was faster was used.
- Commonwealth
Games – halfway between the 1999 Pan Am “A” Qualifying times
and the 2004 Olympic Games “B” times.
- World
Champs (50M) – FINA 2004 Olympic Games “B” standard
("A" Standard plus 5%)
- Olympic
Games – FINA 2004 Olympic Games “A” & “B” time
standards (16th place in the 2000 World Rankings).
