ADI AND ALIA ATKINSON WIN BRONZE MEDALS AT SOUTHERN ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Swimming for the Florida Gold Coast team at the Southern Zone Swimming Champs, Jamaica's Alia Atkinson swam a USS T16 time of 36.54 to place 4th in the 11-12 50 M Breaststroke. Alia had swum 37.50 in the Prelims. 

In the 15-16 100 M Breaststroke Adi Atkinson could not repeat last week record breaking performance but swam 1:10.88 to place 9th.

Alia Atkinson swimming in 200 meter medley relay swam a good fly leg (31.95) to help the Florida Gold Coast 11-12 team to the Bronze in a time of 2:12.05. Adi also found himself among the medals as his 15 -16 medley relay team finished 3rd. They were led off by the fastest back leg by Bryce Clough (28.12), Adi kept them in medal contention with a breast leg of 31.23 but fell back to second place. A strong fly leg by the Georgia Team secured them the Silver despite a 24.39 by Florida 's Matt Coan on the final leg. The final time by the Florida Gold Team 1:50.72 missing the Silver by .15
