ALL IS SET FOR AB SHORT COURSE CLASSIC

Oct. 25, 2001 - All is set for the first ever AB Short Course Swim Classis to be held in the National Stadium Diving Pool October 26 to 28, 2001. 306 swimmers from 7 teams have entered the competition which will see the first dive at 5:30 on Friday.

All of the locally based National  Squad Swimmers have entered the meet and will be testing themselves for the first time in the 2001-2002 swimming season. The format of the meet will differ slightly from the norm as points will be awarded based on swimmers achieving USS time standards rather than the usual 1st to 8th place finish.

This is the first major 25 Metre competition to be held in Jamaica in many years and the Amateur Swimming Association will be monitoring the impact that the compeition will have on the swimmers performances.

Friday Oct. 26 - Session 1 (5:30 PM - 9:00 PM)

Saturday Oct. 27 - Session 2 (8:30 AM - 11:50 AM)

Saturday Oct. 27 - Session 3 (4:30 PM - 7:45 PM)

Sunday Oct. 28. - Session 4 (9:00 AM - 12:10 PM)
