Mark koganov to conduct water polo clinic in Jamaica January 3-5, 2003

The swimmers and officials participating in Jamaica's recently revived Water Polo Program will enjoy the benefit of a Clinic led by Mark Koganov and held at the National Stadium Pool, January 3-5, 2003. The swimmers are preparing for the first ever CARIFTA Water Polo Championships in April (Kingston, Jamaica) and CCCAN (Mexico) in July. Three sessions are scheduled each day, one for officials and two for the swimmers.

Coach Michael Fisher assisted by Garth Henriques and James Smith has been holding daily training sessions with up to 50 swimmers in the water. With the present interest, Jamaica should be able to field a male and female team for the CARIFTA Championships.

Mark Koganov

Mark is a FINA referee from Azerbaijan, now living in Brooklyn, NY, USA. He was a former professional water polo player, in Azerbaijan, Russia, and Israel, and coached water polo at all levels. Mark referees a full year of university and open level games in the USA, in addition to his international refereeing.
