The swimmers and officials participating in Jamaica's recently
revived Water Polo Program will enjoy the benefit of a Clinic led by
Mark Koganov and held at the National Stadium Pool, January 3-5,
2003. The swimmers are preparing for the first ever CARIFTA Water
Polo Championships in April (Kingston, Jamaica) and CCCAN (Mexico)
in July. Three sessions are scheduled each day, one for officials
and two for the swimmers.
Coach Michael Fisher assisted by Garth Henriques and James Smith
has been holding daily training sessions with up to 50 swimmers in
the water. With the present interest, Jamaica should be able to
field a male and female team for the CARIFTA Championships.
PERSONS WISHING TO ATTEND THE OFFICIALS SESSIONS AND BECOME A
WATER POLO JUDGE SHOULD CONTACT THE ASAJ OFFICE AT 995-9200 OR BY
