ISSA/ASAJ HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITIES SWIM MEET STARTS ON FRIDAY

November 27, 2003…….The ISSA/ASAJ High Schools and Universities Swim Meet will dive into action at the National Stadium Pool on Friday November 28, 2003 starting at 8:30 AM. Over 500 swimmers from 26 schools are will compete for Trophies in three categories: ISSA Schools Champions, ASAJ High Schools Champions and the Universities Champion.

The ISSA Trophies will go to the top male and female high school registered with ISSA, while the ASAJ Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female high school regardless of affiliation. ISSA and the ASAJ have joined forces to ensure that this High School swim meet continues to contribute to the development of the young Jamaican swimmers. Sixteen schools are represented in the female category; ten on the male, while three Universities or Colleges have entered the competition.

Jamaica’s National Representative and National 100 M Breaststroke holder, Dominic Lee, will be competing as the lone overseas entry, representing Mercersburg Academy.

The competition will be swum over two sessions, the first starting on Friday November 28 at 8:30 AM and the second starting at 2:00 PM.
