
BRAD AND RAINE WIN
GOLD MEDALS AT CCCAN 2003
July 2, 2003….Raine Paulson-Andrews and Brad Hamilton held
Jamaica’s flag high in Mexico City when they won Gold at the Central American
and Caribbean Island Swimming Championships currently in the final day of
competition.
Paulson-Andrews time of 27.50 to not only good enough to win
the Gold Medal in the 15-17 50 M Freestyle, but it also qualified her for this
summers PAN AM Games.
In the 13-14 Male 50 M Freestyle, Brad Hamilton took the
Gold touching in 24.50 knocking an incredible 1.04 seconds Jamaica’s National Age
Group Record which “Super Brad” himself had set at the CARIFTA Swimming
Championships just 3 months ago. Just 13 years old, Hamilton now seem to
threaten Sion Brinns National record of 23.29, just 1.21 seconds away.
