JAMAICA’S SWIM TEAM LEAVES FOR SANTO DOMINGO

 

 

August 8, 2003……The Jamaican Swim Team of 6 swimmers will leave the island today to compete in the 2003 Pan American Games. Competition begins on August 11.  The team will fly to Santo Domingo on Air Jamaica Express. The Jamaicans will compete in the following events;

 

Day 1 - 11/8

100 M Freestyle – Janelle Atkinson, Dawn Chuck, Tamara Swaby and Alia Atkinson

 

Day 2 - 12/8

200 M Freestyle – Janelle Atkinson and Dawn Chuck

100 M Butterfly – Timothy Wong

200 M Breaststroke – Alia Atkinson

 

Day 3 - 13/8

400 M Free – Janelle Atkinson

4x100 Free Relay (Female Team)

 

Day 4 - 14/8

100 M Butterfly – Tamara Swaby

100 M Breaststroke – Alia Atkinson

800 M Free – Janelle Atkinson

 

Day 5 - 15/8

200 M Butterfly – Timothy Wong

200 M Individual Medley – Alia Atkinson, Raine Paulson-Andrews

4x100 Medley Relay (Female Team)

 

Day 6 - 16/8

200 M Butterfly – Tamara Swaby

50 M Freestyle – Angela Chuck, Alia Atkinson and Raine Paulson-Andrews
