At the Bolles High School / Indian River Community College dual meet on Nov 29 it was the Cayman Islands Shaune Fraser that impressed most out of the three Caribbean nationals representing the prestigious Floridian High School.

Fraser entered the winner’s circle four times with three individual wins and one relay triumph. Fraser took the 200 yard butterfly in 1:48.83 (2:03.67 long course meters), the 200 yard backstroke in 1:52.28 (2:09.06)[1] and the 500 yard freestyle in 4:36.54 (4:10.46  400 meters) an event he won by an impressive 13 seconds . He later capped off the evening with a 47.45 (54.54) relay lead –off leg in the 400 free relay Bolles “A” to a win in 3:06.11.

The other 2 West Indian swimmers were Jamaica’s Travis Forte and Netherlands Antilles Khalil Elhage, though not swimming better than 6th place in any race, showed promising early season form. Forte (Bolles) placed 6th  in 22.16 in the 50 yard freestyle and 200 yard butterfly in 2:00.16 (2:16.55) and 8th in the 200 yard butterfly 54.06(1:01.08).
