BRAD HAMILTON SETS SECOND NATIONAL AGE GROUP RECORD AT CARIFTA 2005 – RAMON WALTON MINES GOLD

 

 

Brad Hamilton today lowered the 15-17 100 M Freestyle National Age Group Record by more then two (2) seconds swimming a fast 52.33 to take the Silver Medal at the CARIFTA Swimming Championships in Curacao. Cayman’s Shaune Fraser won the Gold in 52.08. Both Hamilton and Fraser were inside George Bovell’s (tRINIDAD) CARIFTA Record of 52.48.

 

Ramon Walton added Gold to Jamaica’s medal haul when he won the 200 M Butterfly touching in 2:26.12.

 

The Jamaicans added four other Silver Medals on Day three of the Competition. Mathew Hilton touched second in the 13-14 50 M Breaststroke (33.90) as did Garrick Robinson who swam in the 15-17 50 M Breaststroke finishing in 31.98. The 200 M Butterfly events, Jason Adams silver came with a personal best time of 2:32.28 while Travis Forte swam 2:15.72 to claim second place in the15-17 age group.
