AMATEUR SWIMMING

TOTAL TEAM WINTER SWIM CHAMPIONSHIP, FLORIDA

A four-member delegation of the Jamaica National Senior Swim Squad and a seven-member delegation of the Tornadoes Swim Club leaves the island on Thursday, December 8, 2005 to compete in the Total Teamware Winter Swim Championships, to be held December 8 – 11, 2005 at Plantation Central Park, Plantation, Florida. A total of 916 swimmers from 42 clubs will compete in the Meet. The Jamaica National Senior Squad members are Brad Hamilton, Matthew Hilton, Dominic Lee and Dave Smith while the Tornadoes Swim Club will be represented by: Jason Adams, Stefan Brown, Matthew Chen, Brian Forte, Steven Moodie, Andre Smith and Dominic Walter.

The swimmers will use this Meet to continue their preparation for next year’s CARIFTA Championship scheduled for Barbados in April. National Technical Director Jacky Walter will accompany the Jamaica National Squad Team and Coach Barry Brown will accompany the Tornadoes swimmers. The teams return to the island on Monday, December 12, 2005.
