346 SWIMMERS READY FOR THE KARL DALHOUSE MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET

February 2-4, 2007

346 swimmers will get into action at the 12th renewal of the ‘Y’ Speedos hosted Karl Dalhouse Memorial Invitational Swim Meet, at the National Stadium pool beginning on Friday February 2. The 3 day meet promises to be an exciting and competitive event as 8 local swim clubs and  22 members of the Stingray Swim Club of Cayman will be vying for the Karl Dalhouse Trophy.

Defending champions Tornadoes Swim Club, will be hard pressed by the ‘Y” Speedos swimmers who are brimming with confidence after their resounding victory at the Blue Seals Meet last weekend.

National swimmers, Matthew Hilton, Ramon Walton, Donovan Todd, David Bromfield, Lanesa Downs, Raynae Hall, Doneisha McKenzie, and Simone Hunter will spearhead the Club’s effort to regain the trophy.

Fast times are expected as the senior swimmers try to qualify for the CARIFTA Swimming Championships to be held in Jamaica later in the year.

American Airlines, Rose Hall Resorts & Country Club, Pan Caribbean Financial Services, Cari-Med Ltd., and RST Industries are some of the companies which have given substantial sponsorship towards the meet. A very big thank you to them and all the other sponsors.
