Alana Dillette
who can be considered one of the most versatile sprinters in Caribbean and
belongs to thestrongest female team in the Caribbean,
the Bahamas, was in action for AuburnUniversity the
top ranked female college swimming programme Thursday Jan 10 onthe road against nationally ranked University of Texas.
Alana set the tone forthe 157- 80 Auburn
win when she blasted 24.40 (27.82 LCM longcourse metres) for her butterfly leg in the 200 yard medley to
help Auburn A toa winning time of 1:42.71just outside
the NCAA consideration time of 1:42.47.This is the fastest time done by an
Auburn medley team for the season. Shegrabbed third
place in the 50 yard freestyle clocking a swift 23.80(27.32 LCM)again just outside the NCAA consideration time of
23.29(26.74 LCM). Sheexhibitioned in the 200 yard
backstroke and stopped the clock in 2:06.96.
