Defending
Champions, Tornadoes Swim Club will seek to retain the championship trophy as
the Amateur Swimming Association of Jamaica (ASAJ) stages its season opener for
the 2006/07 Swim Year, the “AB” Long Course Classic. The Meet runs from Friday, 27 October to
Sunday, 29 October 2006 and will also serve as a qualifier for swimmers who
wish to be a part of Jamaica’s delegation to upcoming Meets for 2006/07.
Strong
competition is expected from the approximately 350 swimmers from 8 Clubs,
including several of the swimmers who participated in the recently held Leah
Martindale Stroke Clinic. Also
participating is Kathryn Keane from Trinidad, who won the Girls 8 and Under
High Point Trophy at the ASAJ Summer Age Group Championship and Justin George
of England.
