Up to two days ago, the Amateur Swimming Association of Jamaica (ASAJ) was unsure if the Teams would be able to travel because of significant funding deficient. John Eyre, President of the ASAJ would like to thank the Prime Minister and Minister of Sports, the Hon. Portia Simpson Miller for her support in providing funds through INSPORT and the Sports Development Foundation. At departure time, the ASAJ still has a deficit of JA$320,000 but hope to close the gap through the effort of the parents.
