ALTERATION OF ARTICLES
POWER OF ASSOCIATION TO ALTER OR AMEND
Subject to the provisions of the Act, the Association may alter, add to, or abandon, any of these Articles by the passing of a Special Resolution passed at a General Meeting of the Association. Any member desiring to propose such alterations or additions to the Rules, must give notice in writing stating the effect thereof, to the Honorary Secretary and a copy of such proposal shall be sent to every individual Full Member, Club, Officer and Council Member with the notice convening the Meeting.
A resolution shall be a special resolution when it has been passed by a majority of not less than three-fourths of such members as, being entitled so do, vote at a General Meeting at which not less than twenty-one (21) days notice specifying the intention to propose the resolution as a Special Resolution, has been given.
Provided that, if ninety-five per centum of the Members entitled to attend and vote at any such meeting so agree, a resolution may be proposed and passed as a Special Resolution at a meeting of which not less than twenty-one (21) days notice has been given.
