"The Association" shall mean AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION OF JAMAICA LIMITED.

"The Council" shall mean the Council of the Association for the time being constituted pursuant to Article 19 hereafter.

"Member" shall mean a Member of the Association for the time being.

"Member Club" shall mean a Club which is a member of the Association for the time being.

"In Writing" or "Written" shall include any form of writing, printing, lithography, or other code of representing words in visible form.

"Month" shall mean a calendar month.

"The Articles" or "These Presents" shall mean the Articles of Association for the time being in force.

"Swimming" shall include diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming.

"The Act" shall mean the Companies Act of the Laws of Jamaica.

Words importing the singular number only shall include the plural and vice versa. Words importing the masculine gender shall include the feminine gender.
