DISCIPLINARY BOARD
DISCIPLINARY BOARD TO BE APPOINTED BY COUNCIL
At their first meeting the Council shall appoint a Chairman, a Secretary and one other person to serve as a Disciplinary Board. The Chairman of the Disciplinary Board shall not be a member of the Council. Failure to appoint a Board at the first meeting is not to prevent the appointment of a Board at a subsequent meeting of Council.
QUORUM OF BOARD
Three (3) shall form a quorum.
FUNCTION OF BOARD
It shall be the responsibility of the Disciplinary Board to judge any breach of discipline or conduct involving an individual member of member of a Club in order to reach a decision with due regard to any evidence produced, using all the means at its command to acquaint itself with the true facts. It shall recommend to Council to suspend, disqualify or debar such Member.
Such decision of the Council shall be sent in writing to the individual and/or Club at the earliest possible opportunity with a copy to the Council. It shall be binding on all officials at any Meet to report to the Referee of the Meet infringements of discipline, who in turn may report to the Disciplinary Board any behaviour which he considers shall require disciplinary measures.
RIGHT OF APPEAL
Any member or Club dissatisfied with a recommendation by the Disciplinary Board shall have the right to appeal to the Council.
Notice of Appeal against any such recommendation must be made in writing to the Honorary Secretary of the Association within seven (7) days of the receipt by the member or club of such recommendation.
Every appeal must set out the grounds on which it is based.
The Council shall the power to uphold, void or reverse the decision. All decisions of the Council shall be final.
For each appeal there shall be a fee of Ten Jamaican Dollars.
