SwimJamaica will be hosting an exciting Relay Splash for Prep and Primary Schools at the National Aquatics Centre on November 2, 2019. Over seven hundred (700) swimmers from schools across the island are expected to participate.
To ensure that every school has the opportunity to participate, SwimJamaica will allow schools with small teams to join forces to create a number of Combined Teams. SwimJamaica will be promoting the event using its social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram by inviting teams to post its mascots, logos or school swimming photos: the team which attracts the highest number of “Likes” will be awarded a special prize.
SwimJamaica will use the meet to promote its learn to swim programmes and the fun of swimming by including mixed relays (male and female), two fun relays and special surprise prizes throughout the meets 26 events.
The Relay Splash will be the first schools meet on the 2019-2020 schools calendar and will have no restrictions on the number of relay teams a school can enter. Coaches will be using the meet to evaluate the progress of their swimmers prior to selection for the ASAJ Prep/Primary School Meet less than a month later.
The entry deadline for he Relay Splash is October 18, 2019.
